Know the Professor: Khaled Furani

  • Signed a petition urging the American Anthropological Association to convene a vote on boycotting Israeli academia.[1]
  • Served on the Board of Directors of the anti-Zionist organization “Mossawa.”[2]
  • In a speech given in Washington D.C., Furani said in reference to Operation Cast Lead that [then Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor] Lieberman made sure that we don’t forget the impunity with which the killing of Arab citizens or non-citizens can occur and the inequality of human life.”[3]
  • Wrote in the Stanford University Press blog that “Israel’s aspiration [is] to purify the land of its Arab and other natives.”[4]
