• Signed a petition accusing Israel of the “slaughter of large numbers of wholly innocent people” in Gaza.[2]
• Signed a petition encouraging the United Methodist Church to divest from “companies that enable the occupation to continue.”[3]
• In 1973, he was convicted of espionage and planned sabotage and sentenced to 17 years in prison for spying on Israel to the Syrian government.[4]
