  • Supports and promotes BDS.[1][2]
  • Signed a petition calling on the American Anthropological Association to boycott Israeli academic institutions[3] and was listed on the list of potential speakers about the issue in the “Anthropology Boycott Teach‐In Packet.”[4]
  • Called on broadcasters to boycott the Israel-hosted Eurovision song contest, writing on Twitter: “Apartheid and occupation is nothing to celebrate! Broadcasters should withdraw from #Eurovision hosted by Israel. #ESC2019 #DareToDream #BoycottEurovision2019.”[5]
  • Wrote an academic article that argued that “Hebrew is a colonizing language vis-à-vis Arabic” and that “All of the Palestinians still living in historical Palestine – whether it be in Gaza, the West Bank or what has become Israel– are still living under varying degrees of colonization.”[6]
  • As a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, he co-founded the Free Palestine Action Network on campus,[7] which petitioned the university to end its investments in “all companies whose business promotes the Israeli occupation.”[8]
  • Called Israeli-Arab activist Yoseph Haddad’s defense of Israel a “betrayal.”[9]
